Privacy Policy — Wanted: Fugitive Watch

Effective date: October 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dela Systems, LLC ("we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Wanted: Fugitive Watch app ("the App") on Android, iOS and desktop.

Not affiliated with the FBI. The App is independent. It is not endorsed by or connected to the Federal Bureau of Investigation or any government agency. Notice content comes from the FBI's public Wanted API (api.fbi.gov). If you have information about a case, contact the FBI directly at tips.fbi.gov.

Summary

  • You don't need an account, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • We collect limited device and usage data to keep the App working, find and fix crashes, and improve features.
  • The free mobile version shows ads. Depending on where you live and the choices you make, ads may be personalized using your device's advertising identifier.
  • You can buy ad removal. Apple or Google handles the payment, and we never see your card details.
  • The desktop version has no analytics, ads or tracking.

Information We Collect

1. Information stored only on your device

To work offline and remember your preferences, the App keeps cached wanted notices, your settings (such as filters and ad-free status) and basic counters (such as how many times you've opened the App) on your device. This data is not sent to us. Uninstalling the App deletes it.

2. Usage and device information (Google Firebase Analytics)

The App records anonymous events, such as which screens you open, when you view a notice, and when you change a filter or use search. We do not collect the text you type into search. Firebase may also collect your device model, operating system version, app version, language, an app-instance identifier and an approximate (country/region-level) location derived from your IP address. We use this information to understand how the App is used and to improve it.

3. Crash and diagnostic information (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the App crashes, we receive a crash report. It contains the stack trace, device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash and an installation identifier. We use it only to diagnose and fix bugs.

4. App configuration (Firebase Remote Config)

The App downloads configuration settings, such as how often ads appear, using an installation identifier. This lets us adjust App behavior without releasing an update.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob), mobile versions only

The free version shows banner, full-screen, app-open and optional rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), IP address, device information and ad interactions (impressions and clicks). It uses this data to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud and, if you allow it, personalize ads.

  • We do not share which specific wanted notices you view with advertisers. We also never show full-screen ads right after you view sensitive categories such as missing persons or crimes against children.
  • On iOS, we only access your IDFA if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

6. Purchases (RevenueCat)

If you buy "Remove Ads," Apple or Google processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to confirm the purchase and restore it on your devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and transaction history, and basic device information. We never receive your name, payment card or billing address.

7. Push notifications (if you enable them)

If you opt in to alerts (for example, new Ten Most Wanted additions or updates on notices you follow), Firebase Cloud Messaging assigns your device a push token and records the alert topics you subscribe to. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.

How We Use Information

We use this information to:

  • provide and maintain the App, including offline access and restoring purchases
  • diagnose crashes and fix bugs
  • understand feature usage and improve the App
  • show ads and control how often they appear
  • personalize ads, only where permitted and where you have consented
  • send notifications you have opted in to
  • prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some US state laws, sharing an advertising identifier with ad networks for personalized advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing." See Your Choices below to opt out.

Third-Party Services

These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own policies:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging): https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • Google AdMob: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
  • RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
  • Apple App Store / Google Play (payments): governed by your agreement with Apple or Google

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer.

Your Choices

  • Ad consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland): On first launch, the App asks for your consent to personalized ads and related data processing. You can change your choice at any time in About → Privacy options.
  • US state privacy rights: You can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising through About → Privacy options.
  • iOS tracking: You can allow or deny tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android advertising ID: You can reset or delete it in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads).
  • Notifications: You can turn them off in your device settings.
  • Remove ads: Buying ad removal, or watching a rewarded video for temporary ad-free time, stops ads from showing. Anonymous analytics and crash reporting continue.

Data Retention

Analytics data is kept for 2 months, then automatically deleted. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Purchase records are kept as long as needed to restore your purchases and meet tax and accounting obligations. Data stored on your device stays there until you clear the App's data or uninstall it.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including the EEA, UK, California and other US states, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we don't collect your name or account details, we may need your device's app-instance ID to find your data. Contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): We rely on your consent for personalized advertising and on our legitimate interests for analytics, crash reporting and fraud prevention. Where processing is needed to provide a purchase you made, we rely on contract performance.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International Transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all network traffic. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If the changes are material, we will tell you in the App.
